YORK HOUSE RETAIN THE LEN WATSON TROPHY
A jolly good afternoon was enjoyed at the De La Salle Social Club in Salford as members gathered for the Summer Solstice. Vice Chairman Alan Winterbottom had ordered a wonderful spread and members tucked into the fare with relish. As ever stories were swapped and friendships renewed over ‘light refreshments’. The quiz saw Duncan Ellaby as the only representative for Gloucester so he is definitely looking for some team mates for the Christmas version. After a close fought contest York House retained the Len Watson Trophy. Congratulations to Stephen Hindley, John Fitzsimmons, Dave Edwards and Geoff Smithies. No doubt they will be keen to pull off a hat trick of wins in December.
