Boys at Salford Grammar School had their horizons widened and education furthered through any number of field trips and sports tours. The Lakes were a favourite location, whilst football tours went up to Scotland regularly. Lifelong friendships were forged and stories of derring do and calamities recounted with relish whenever old boys are gathered.
